New season challenges will start from “Turbine Hallencup 2020” tournament in Potsdam

The new season for the Šiauliai Gintra-Universitetas team will start traditionally – the Lithuanian champions have been invited for the fourth time to participate in the prestigious indoor tournament “AOK Turbine Hallencup 2020” in Germany.

Siauliai team will compete in Potsdam on January 18-19, and all of our matches will be streamed live on Facebook.

In “AOK Turbine Hallencup 2020” tournament this year will participate “Gintra-Universitetas”, the host team Potsdam FFC Turbine (Germany), champion defending Prague AC Sparta (Czech Republic), St. Polten’s SKN St.Polten (Austria), Belgrade’s Red Star (Serbia), Sosnoviec’s Czarni (Poland) and two debutants – Herning’s Fortuna (Denmark) and Vienna’s Austria Wien (Austria).

The eighth tournament has already earned the support of local football fans, which is best illustrated by the fact that the MBS arena rosters are both full-bodied on both days. The relatively solid ‘all day’ fares, which start at 31 €, do not disappoint the audience either.

True, it’s worth noting that spectators coming to this tournament can enjoy not only high-quality, dynamic football throughout the day, with dramatic speed changes, but also a variety of fun-filled breaks between matches, contests and sweepstakes, fast-food bar services, opening and closing ceremonies and other attractions.

In the near future, the tournament organizers should announce two subgroups of four teams each. Then it will be clear which rivals Gintra University will face in the group stage.
